Ideas for baby hamper?

My OH sister is having a baby in Sept and i want to make up a hamper with odds and ends she will need for when the bambino comes?

Things i've thought of are:

babywipes, bath lotion, nappies, baby grows, a wee blanket....

Can anyone recommend anything else she will appreciate and that will come in handy?

Thanks in advance

infacol, sudocream, benpanthen bum cream, I put in muslins, burp cloths, some nice organic baby creams etc. My darling nephew had very dry skin as a newborn, and the cream in the basket I did was excellent for this, it was a johnsons cream for dry skin, but body shop do a lovely range of baby stuff if you are pushing the boat out!

Have a go at making a nappy cake up with these bits in, I'm sure she'd love it.

Why not get things that you don't normally think of and have difficulty locating in a hurry? Dosing spoons and syringes, teething gels and toys, several different bottle teats (both silicone and latex and various shapes and sizes), baby nail scissors and clippers, SPF 50 suncream for kids, etc.

I'm sure SIL will be bemused by such offerings now. However... The very nice pharmacy will give you several free dosing devices but you'll end up buying your 5th bottle of Calpol from the 24 hour supermarket just to acquire a dosing spoon at midnight. You suspect your baby is teething early and discover the gel you bought at random is only suitable for 4 months and older. The sun makes a rare yearly appearance and the supermarket shelves are stripped of everything bar some deeply dubious SPF 7 creams that can't even be of benefit to adults. And so on.

Also put in some vouchers and coupons for money off various things. Nappies, creams. Even make up as she might not much spare money after baby is born.
