If you run a business from home and you use over 50% of your household energy doing so, you then qualify for business rates. 2 good things about going from domestic to biz utilities is that you will half the price of your gas and electric rates and also be able to raclaim your vat!

I must go ask my accountant why I was assessed for 18% CGT on 28% of my previous home when I sold it.
I paid a proportion of business rates there and I do so again here.
Jokingly he did suggest I become an MP and could side step it that way. But now you're here you can tell me how to claim this all back.0 -

Not once have i mentioned lying to your supplier! Your Energy Company will perform a business credit check anyway, Its not just a strait forward process.
Now stop making out this is a bad idea when SME businesses can benefit from this in these hard times.
I have worked for a major energy company for over 7 years now and would like the educate people that who are unaware of this money saving tactic!0 -
