Hi-jack this and multiple accounts?

Am suffering from a severely slow computer and thought I would give Hi-jack this a go seeing as nothing else I have tried seems to make much difference (Malwarebytes, spybot etc) However we have 4 different computer accounts, 1 Administrator account for downloads and 3 limited accounts. Should I try to run Hi-jack for each of them seperately and if so, do I have to change them all to "Admistrator" to facilitate the running of the program?
many thanks.

Sound like you've simply got a build up of useless background programs running. Like Adobe updater/quickstart, Quicktime, etc etc etc.
Genuine stuff, but it doesn't need to be running all the time... This stuff drive me up the wall.

Using Hijackthis well only affect your account yes, but things on other accounts cannot affect yours... So unless your doing everyone a favour, no you don't have to run it on each account.

OK, well you didnt say what Operating system your running, XP, vista, windows 7, and yes some people are running windows 7.
2 options, 1. run hijackthis and post a log of all the items you have running. it should list all programs even those under other uses id's
    2. run autoruns. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx nothing to install, just extract and run autoruns.exe, after you have it running, click on the LOGON tab, this will bring up a list of all the programs you are loading at startup and which will continue to run.
now for the hard part, you'll notice that the boxes are ticked, to stop the program running at startup remove the ticks, to re-able put the tick back. only remove the ticks from the lists ending with RUN aka RUN, RUNONCE, startup,
Leave the following ticks alone and of course your antivirus program.
    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Userinit anything in this boxHKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Shell should be explorer.exe
These 2 are the top 2 do not touch these. the others are safe, when done reboot the computer and see if that helps.
then look through the list of programs you have now disabled, and decide if you really need them to start, not knowing what you have running its a bit hard to tell you what to disable.
You can also goto https://www.blackviper.com <this will help you decide which services you can disable / change from automatic to manual.

    WOW 46 processes,
you dont need all those spyware programs running at the same time, on startup,
personally i would remove windows defender< loves false positives. disable spybot from running at startup, and would run it every 2-3 or even once a month, or completely remove it and install malwarebytes antispyware 1.38
After a bit of googling, I found the Searchindexer.exe likes to use a lot of cpu i'll quote what i found
SearchIndexer.exe the process is the search service (or Indexing Service) of Windows. It is a service charge of exploring the contents of the hard drive to facilitate the search for a file on it.However, this service can be a little heavy on resources (CPU, RAM, hard disk access) and can significantly slow down your computer. This is reflected mostly by a hard disk which is constant noise, even when the computer is not requested and a system that is slow to respond.
O23 - Service: NVIDIA Display Driver Service (NVSvc) - NVIDIA Corporation - C:\WINDOWS\system32\nvsvc32.exe can be disabled, unless you change your screen resolution alot.
Windows + R to bring run window, type services.msc, scroll down to nvidia and change to manual.
O23 - Service: Java Quick Starter (JavaQuickStarterService) - Sun Microsystems, Inc. - C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\jqs.exe is for JAVA, basically used for updating. well thats ok but its usually once in a blue moon, think last time it was about 3month between the updates, so it doesnt need to be running all the time. personally have this one disabled.
As you have both avg8 and zonealarm installed. you really dont need spydoctor running in the background, as with the other 2, spybot and windowsdefender i would run this once a month after updating. see above.
I could say about removing googletoolbar, as a personal note i dont use any toolbars.
O23 - Service: nProtect GameGuard Service (npggsvc) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\system32\GameMon.des.exe (file missing) <as file is missing this can be disabled and after googling the filename it should be disabled.
    last one
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MSConfig] C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries\MSConfig.exe /auto
shouldnt really be running, but i guess your using this to turn off and on the services you want.
to give you an idea of what i'm running i will upload my hijackthis log. in a new post.

currently i have malwarebytes and superantispyware installed, neither of which are running processes at startup. i usually run them once a week after updating them. just before i backup.
The reason i have 3-4 defraggers, because i cant make up my mind which is the best. each have there own benefits, features, cant find a program with all the features i want. which is typical.
Some of the processes aka Clock and Title Bar clock, just make it easier to see the time.
    C:\Program Files\TitleBarClock Pro\Tbcpro.exe titlebar clock,
