i have never used a self service till as presumed that you would not be able to use coupons. i have a lot of 25p coupons all the same with an expiry date of 30.l.06. tesco will only let me use one per shop. do you think i will be able to hand in quite a few if i use the self service till??
i am new to these forums but found the tesco r and r policy amazing. i am going to go armed with my list of price mistakes this weekend. can anyone tell me if these mistakes are store specific or mistakes that happen at all Tescos???

Merthyr tydfil has a few.....and i always use them when i have joey vouchers...saves the hassle with the jobsworth SA!!

tesco at whitely village near fareham,hants have self scan.
one supervisor told me they will accept up to 25% of your shop in coupons but they come over to authorise it.
one cashier stood over my shoulder the whole time :mad:

Tesco, Glasgow - Maryhill Shopping Centre has a self-service till. Haven't used it myself but will do when I have saved coupons up!!

Tesco's Goodmayes have self scan tills but i've had problems in there before.Tesco's don't accept Somerfield vouchers so beware.Yes the machine takes them but it's because they don't understand where they're from.I pointed out the fact that they took them a couple of months ago ion the Tesco's thread in grabbit and people had a go at me;)

I used them a couple of times to knock a lot of money off my shop on a weekend when there was students manning the tills as in December in the Somerfield brochure they had a voucher for £5 off a bottle of gin and these went through the tills.Well i tried using them again and got stopped as they said they don't accept Somerfield vouchers though they took it as i argued that the machine took it and i'm not supposed to know what they take and what they don't but i haven't tried it again since:(
I had quite a few of these £5 vouchers too;)

I was told by someone on grabbit that you can put either £3 or £4 of vouchers though or 30% and then the person manning them has to hit their button and you carry on or they'll come over.If i use the self scan tills at Goodmayes now i get satff standing over me which happened when they stopped me which is why i don't use them now.

Though saying that now i know there is self scan at Romford i might go to that store and try;)

I tried to use this morning an internet printed voucher in tesco express in birmingham and it went ok, but when I gave the women another one she delete it from the bill. Do you know if there is a problem with internet coupons. Well I also didn´t buy the item, but it went ok, should I had kick a fuss.... Anyway I was happy because I used my 100 points voucher from the healthy tesco magazine when you spend 4 pounds on chicken. I bought 4 trays at 1.75 each but 3 were reduced to 87 pence, so I got my discount that way!!
