Hi folks,

When I click here http://www.cross-stitching.com/entryForm.asp?id=54069 it opens up the page but then diverts me to here http://www.220magazine.com/ which is a different magazine run by the same company Origin Publishing (they have loads of mags).

It really annoying  so I was hoping you might be able to tell me how to fix this.

I have deleted temporary files, cookies and run a full McAfee scan but never found anything dodgy.

Thanks

Sounds like you need a redirect blocker, I had one on Firefox ages ago, but cant seem to find it for the latest Firefox..... I assume your using IE?
Perhaps go and download Firefox browser or google chrome, see if that fixes the issue.

    Thanks, I'm using Firefox.

Doesn't seem to be a browser type specific issue as it works for me in both FF and IE8. Try going through the spyware removal sticky just in case. As an aside I wouldn't trust McAfee to find any malware anyway (from experience).

It's always possible for something to mess up one browser, leaving the other untouched. Which is really what I was getting at.

Great example of this was when Ebay were trialling the new look item listings, it only affected me on Firefox and only on this PC (none of my laptops) and IE was fine, I tried EVERYTHING to stop it and eventually had to change over to using IE for ebay.
It turns out they were using some serial number in Firefox to determine if you were going to be chosen to trial the new look. Odd number you lose, even number you win sort of thing.

Anyway having looked at the source code for that site I haven't been able to spot anything that would divert you, ill keep looking though.

That's not what I meant. I meant the issue wasn't specific to being a bug in a specific browser (i.e. everyone with IE or everyone with FF) not that it couldn't be affecting just one browser on the OP's specific installation.
