I'd love to know what 7 deals were chosen to give Tesco Clubcard points an average worth of 3p. Are we allowed to know this?Seven rewards were randomly selected and valued per scheme. The valuation assigned is its 'real' rather than recommended retail price. For example, while a points provider will often list a CD as being worth £13, if it's commonly available for £7, we only value it at £7.
These were then used to evaluate the points worth. For example, if 6,000 MSE points got you a £24 MP3 player, then one point is worth around 0.4p. The average value of a point over the seven goods is then calculated.
Or was this 3p based on the days when they were worth 4x their face value?
Would also love to know what was chosen to give Nectar points an average more than 0.5p.0 -
Clubcard points have gone back up to 4x value again for rewards could the rewards checker be updated?0

It's only some things that are 4x, saversaurus.
I've never found anything in the scheme where it is actually worth 4x, though - most of the restaurants in the scheme, for example, offer readily available discount vouchers online.0 -
received a letter from nationwide telling me they are sending me a select reward card in place of my gold card. which is better and do i need to change?0

            Hi everyone,
I am considering getting the HSBC Premier Mastercard. On the rewards checker it says that double points can be earned by paying a £25 annual fee. However, I cannot see any reference to this on the HSBC website. Does anyone know whether this is still correct? Thanks!0 -
Trying to use the RewardsChecker to look at the value of Avios - it's mentioned in the right-hand checker option, but nowhere in the drop-down menu. Any help out there?
Update: stupidly I was using the Rewards Checker, when the info. I wanted was in the Loyalty Checker!0 -
The rewardschecker seems to be overestimating the recoveries on the capital one aspire world credit card (1st year) and showing that it provides more cashback than the amex platinum cashback credit card (1st year). Has anyone else noticed that this might not be correct?0

Looking at the Hilton HHonors credit card on the Reward Checker, and I think you've got it ranked too high at 0.9p per point - that means £180 equivalent back on a spend of £10,000, which beats all but one of the other "top cards".
When comparing how many HHonors points it takes to buy a hotel stay with Hilton versus the cash equivalent, I'm typically coming up with between 0.5-0.6p per point - still pretty good, but not quite as generous as the checker suggests!0 -
The rewards checker rounds to the nearest pound, which means 500 Nectar points, at 0.5p each, comes up as £3, not £2.50. Quite annoying.0
