Additions missing delivery

Hi
I would like some advice on this issue from any one who may know.
Ordered a pair of hair straightners from Additions which arrived no problem, few days later they were faulty and I rang to return them. Not a problem with that but was told they would not replace only refund so I ordered another pair while on the phone (this was around 8pm on the 9th). The following Saturday I contacted them as no parcel had arrived to be told they were delivered on the 10th at 13:45 and signed for. I explained that no delivery had come to this address and they promised to look into it.
I have received the refund for the original damged goods but have now just received a letter saying they had confirmed delivery with parcel company and a signature. They will not reveal what this signature is to me but want me to provide proof of signature of everyone who is resident at my address (passport, credit card etc) to eliminate them.
This cannot be right, they wont show me the signature they hold but expect members of the household to send in private documents. What is the position, surely they need to prove delivery? Should delivery have only been to me anyway?
Any thoughts?
Thanks

They have proof of delivery
You dispute this.
If it was fraud and they told you who signed for it you would of course just make sure that person didnt send in ID. This way its far more reliable.
Dont see your problem if you have nothing to hide0 -

My issue is that they will not provide proof of who signed but require me to send proof of everyone at the household - through passport or credit card.
I am not prepared to send such items through the post but was hoping for slightly more constructive responses.
thanks anyway0 -

And there is a very simple reason for doing that.
If fraud is being committed and you know they have someones signature you will simply not send anything for that person or doctor it.
This is an entirely reasonable request for them and the only reason for not supplying it is that you are behind a fraud or suspect those in the household are and know that it will be worked out.
If you are concerned send it all my registered/special delivery and ask them to reimburse the cost.
You'd be surprised how many people claim non delivery of valuable goods:rolleyes:0 -

hi there
you will be banging your head against a brick wall with shop direct
i ordered a sony ps3 from littlewoods direct
they delivered it to my neighbour when i collected and opened it there was a ps2 inside
i phoned and explained the whole thing and they said a courier would collect and i ordered a replacement
got let down on the replacement and no credit for the origional order
phoned to query why no refund and they said i signed for it
i argued this and said on the phone i have the courier slip that was posted through the door and asked for the surname of who signed and was told over the phone and sure enough it was not mine but my neighbours
was told to send a photocopy of the courier slip along with a letter explaining this
done this they denied receiving it then passed it onto the fraud dep then back to customer services then the returnd department
then sent me a letter saying there has been a 6 week hold on the console and they can not reuse it so will not refund my money
i have sent 3 letters special delivery and a solicitor has sent a letter
this was all in may but to top it all of they credited the account last week and when i phone to find out why they had not refunded admin late payment fee along with interest and postage found out the had reversed the credit i asked why and was told when you return an item we refund then if we find a problem we undo the refund i said this is a lie i returned the console in may and was only credited last week then 2 days later un recredited
there left hand dose not know what there right hand is doing
this was my first order with littlewoods direct i now have bad credit reating because of the late payment charge and a company legal direct recoveries on my file all because i ordered something and it turned out not to be what i ordered i have sent all proof asked for and still nothing
they also cut my credit limit with additions direct part of the same company from £500 to nothing and i only owed £30
complete and utter joke they now have until 30th june to rectify all issues or i will be going to the small claims court
hope you manage to get more sense out of them good luck0 -

I honestly do not think I will to be honest, so much effort for £40, still it's the principal.0 -

I would rather this thread not be extended by people who have little else to do than impress their virtues upon others. I am sure everyone knows your view on this subject (probably without posting) so again thank you for your contribution.0 -

It seems remarkably quick for delivery - ordered at 8pm on 9th and they were delivered at 13.45 the very next day. Have Additions maybe confused your delivery with someone else?0 -

Yes I have a feeling they have mixed the returned pair and the new pair up somehow.0
