Just coming to the end of my 12 month contract perod with BT (Evenings/W/E Plan) - I've noticed that I'm paying steep charges for my relatively few daytime calls , including 8p set up charge!!.
Whilst looking around came across MADASAFISH - their Talk Free package with line rental looks like saving me ~ £4 a month.
Any comments on Madasafish as a phone provider?

Why not use www.18185.co.uk from your BT phone they only charge 5p a call to 01/02/03 numbers anytime of day.

I believe Madasafish who are in fact owned by BT dont allow access to 18185.

    Two other things worth considering

    1. Madasafish inclusive calls dont include 0845/0870.

    2. They charge £1.47 a month for caller display. BT dont charge subject to you making two calls a month.

If you were to use Madasafish and you couldnt use the 18185 access you could still use 18185 0808 Freephone Number Access for cheaper peak rate geographical calls then what Madasafish charge.

    See: http://www.18185.co.uk/mobilerates.php

    Geographical Call via 18185 0808 number 5p connection and 1p a minute.

Geographical Call via MAAF 5p connection and 3p a minute.

Good thing about MAAF phone service only a 30 day contract. So if you dont like it your not stuck.

Thanks for all replies - but I was really looking for someone who is actually using Madasafish.Quality of service, billing issues etc
Looked at 18185 - but my techno illerate wife likes speed dial which is already set up for all her common contacts!Since she makes most of her calls in "free times" wouldn't be worth changing all the numbers on the phone.
OldGreyFox - appreciate that Madasafish min. charge is 5p - but BT now seem to have a minimum of 11p looking at my online bill!! Even with BT I only pay ~ £12 a quarter for calls so I'm not looking for huge savings, just a bit on the rental and day time calls.

I am with Madasafish for both home phone and broadband and I have never had any billing problems. I have just renewed my contract with them and instead of paying £9.95 for phone and £24.55 for broadband (£34.50), I am now paying £23.00 per month for both.
