Whats a leaf category??? having listing probs

Hi there

Ive been trying to find out most of the day what a leaf category is?? And ripping my hair out
Ive spoken to a few people, they just said to come here. so hello every one:hello:
Ive opened a shop on ebay today, Tried to list stuff
and I get error item has no leaf category on some of the stuff.
Listed what I could, done a back up. put the bits and pieces in their categorys that I set up when I opened the shop
Relisted the items again and got the same message

Whats going on??
and also when I opened the shop Ive subscribed to 2 things that cost £3 a month a well as the £14.99 a month for the shop do I need the other 2 things

Tried again I get the category selected is not a leaf category

And total fees could not calculated because 1 item has errors

A lot of categories and sub-categories have changed recently. The category that the item was previously listed in will no longer exist.

You will need to edit the unsold item before you can relist it.

If it is a new listing, you used to e able to list in the general overall category such as "home and Garden" but now you need to specify a more targetted sub-category, such as living room, kicthen etc.

If you are using Turbo Lister, then make sure you do an update first, as these category changes have only been in place for about 10 days or so.

yeah I got that too

basically ebay have fiddled around with the categories. I was trying to relist some clothes and got error messages. You have to go edit them and reselct the relevant category. So for me before it was women's clothing, now you must specify the type too, e.g. dresses

I had this the other day too, I had to use the 'Check for Updates' thing and it was OK after that. Think it is because of category changes.

I think it is under Tools, if you look down the list it say 'Check for Updates'.
