Car Giant ( white city)
Options
I have bought from Car Giant before when we have had a car with a lot of miles on and with a few faults ,the annoying ones like one door won't lock etc,its easier to go to somewhere like this where you easily off load a car.You also have so much choice as long as you know the right price to pay.
What i want to know is has anyone ever managed to get them to discount at all,we have always been told the price is what you pay, you can usually get a fraction more on your part exchange if you haggle but does anyone know any tricks or know the rules they follow ?
We have a zafira and you always have to lock it using the back door or when you unlock it the alarm goes off, so thinking or going there rather than the hassle of trying to sell it privatly.
Any advice please let me know!

And what are the chances you won't end up buying a car which somone else thought they could easily off load with something more subtle than a door locking issue

Yes there is that, but the older cars go to auction ! besides they fix minor faults or people would take them back would'nt they!0

Sounds like your Zafira needs a new alarm sounder.
I've always been told that cars at Car Giant have fixed prices. The prices are low but this is generally reflected in the fact that the cars are cosmetically impefect and have the odd thing wrong with them. I've seen some cars on sale at Car Giant for months with no price reduction. The man without a signature.0 -
Anyway there is nothing wrong with my car except high mileage and the door locking problem which in fact there workshop could probably fix in 5 min. I not off loading a dodgy car just one with an annoying problem ,we have bought many cars from them maybe 6-8 with my father as well and they have all gone to auction!0

last time I went there which was a very loooong time ago, they wouldn't even let me start the car.
As for a px price the guy wanted me to leave a deposit on a car b4 he would give me a price for mine. I personally would avoid the place unless you know about cars or have a good mate at a local garage.0 -
I have bought 2 car from them and helped a friend buy one as well.
Discounts? No chance. If a car sits on their forecourt for a few weeks then they start reducing the price.
Part exchange? Be sitting down when you hear their quote it will be the lowest of the low.
The service and premises aren't great but the cars are generally well priced and they bought back a car that they sold me which had a faulty gearbox and repaid the tax and fuel without too much hassle.0
