I want to buy a Kodak digital camera and found a much cheaper but "A grade" factory re-conditioned one on ebuyer.com. Does anyone have any advice on whether buying reconditioned cameras is a good idea?

I've bought refurbished Canon digital cameras and camcorders from the Canon Outlet on eBay and they've all looked new and have been no problem at all. Mind you, they were 'old' (2004/2005 models) and could just have been shop returns - never sold or used. Anyway, they were cheap but had one year manufacturer's warranties and so it was well worth it for me. I would suggest at the very least that you check how long the warranty is for the ebuyer re-conditioned cameras...0
