Help - Wiper Problems
I've a Skoda Octavia which I recently purchased from an auction.
The car has since passed it's MOT, but I continue to have a problem with the wipers. Firstly, I have a problem where they won't switch off, i.e. if you press the switch for 1 wipe, you get many - sometimes stoping mid screen. They may also start wiping when you switch on the engine.
Tonight, while driving through heavy rain, the wipers seemed to be o.k. on the up stroke, but seemed slow on the down stroke - infact they seemed to be sticking. I had to manually free them a couple of times. On the return journey with less rain, they seemed fine.
I had previously been told that it may be the steering switch, but after tonight I'm think the motor is on it's way out.
Any advice would be appreciated before I go to the expense of purchasing.
Cheers.
