Your dog will be fine! :) We woke up one morning to find our left over Chinese takeaway had been dragged from the kitchen by our cats, who had ripped open the bag, opened all the containers and eaten the food......they spent a good few days rushing to their cat litter making all kinds of noises!!! They've not done it since...lol!

We now have a lock on our kitchen door because our very greedy chocolate lab used to wander into kitchen while we were at work and somehow managed to open the fridge door  and ate all the contents of our fridge , butter , block of cheese chicken breasts ... and the list goes on , she ate about £50 worth of food as I had just done shopping , the only thing she didnt eat was the eggs (obvious reason) and my home made soup ( was she trying to tell me something ?) we phoned vets as obviously she had ate alot of food and alot of raw meat , he said to keep an eye on her and make sure she had plently of water . She had the cheek to go sit by her food bowl at tea time !!!! :naughty:
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

One of my little dogs ate a kipper that husband accidently dropped. Dog was really happy.
Of course kippers are really salty ........... so he drunk loads of water and his little bladder couldn't last the night !! We didn't realise why he woke us up until it was too late !!

Our doberman once ate sausage, bacon and egg, straight out of the frying pan that they were cooking in! She drank a lot of water afterwards, but somehow managed to come away without a blistered tongue!

Garlic is good for dogs as it is supposed to repel fleas ( garlic capsules daily ).
My dogs have eaten anything foodie in the past and have always been fine.
They do actually prefer real food tho' its not always recommended !

my mum once made a couple of 1 pint egg custard tarts, left them on the window bottom to cool. Came back to find the cat unable to move and 2empty pastry cases.

    But only in moderation...

According to the OH (it's her dog!) a lot of garlic (eg whole cloves) could cause problems, and onions can be fatal (+ problems can occur quickly).

One of my cats was a stray living in some sort of warehouse/industrial unit for a while before she was rescued and absolutely loves

Jam doughnuts (goes nuts for these)
    Pasty/pie pastry crust
    crisps
    buttered scones
sausage, bacon and egg butties (or any combination of - with brown sauce)
    curry sauce
chip shop chips (not interested at all in oven chips)
    strong sweet tea

She is normally very timid, but will come running up if she gets a whiff of any of the above. Funny little girl.

I suppose when you are living mainly on mice anything makes a change. Bless the work people who shared their food with her, thats not a great diet but it probably helped keep her alive, for which we are both very grateful. icon7.gif
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D
