hi there i am very new to this , can someone please offer me some help regarding letters i keep recieving from a company called s r j debt recoviries it reads as follows dear mr **** YOU HAVE FAILED TO ARRANGE AND OR MAINTAIN A PAYMENT ON THIS DEBT AND IT IS NOW OUR CLIENTS INTENTION TO ISSUE LITIGATIONPROCEEDINGS TO RECOVERYHE OVERDUE SUMS THROUGH THE COURTS if we take this step solicitors costs court fees and interest will be added to your account THE ACCOUNT IN QUESTION IS FROM VODAFONE i no nothing of this and they are very rude where do i stand do i ignore them or what , any help would be greatly appreciated regards

Is the letter addressed to you?

Have you ever had a contract with Vodafone?

If yes, have vodafone ever written to you saying you owe them money?

I seem to recall that these debt agencies have to show proof of the debt rather than just say Mrs X owes X amount
