XD card question

My 128mb XD camera card is telling me it is full when it is in the camera, but screen says no pictures.There were only about 20 photos on there. When I stick it in the laptop it just won't open, presumably its empty. I had just uploaded a couple of photos from it when this happened. I have another card which works fine in both camera and pc so no faults with either of them. Is this usual? Do they just die?

Sometimes memory cards usually die without any warning. I've had a 512 MS Pro Duo break on me with no warning whatsoever. I tried formatting it, and that didnt work either.

I'd try formatting the card, BUT it will erase ALL the data on the memory card.

Stick it in the camera and go in to the menu and there should be an option for you to format the card.
