Received all lloyds letters in todays post !!
Okay now where do I start......
With the 4 creditors of lloyds 2 unsecured loans, credit card and overdraft with a cheque account on all the letters we received through the post today, they all state they are unable to accept the proposed payments (we have been paying £1 token payments for the 4 of them creditors).
And then state the bank will continue to action to recover debts until they receive the money owed to them.
That we will be receiving a number of reminder letters until our account is passed on to their Consumer Debt Recovery Dept.
It also states that we may also wish to seek free independence advice from organisations such as the CAB abnd Nat debtline.
However, they know we are with the CCCS, as we enclosed all the paperwork from them........
.
Even though we have a new bank, our concern is that they are not a willing either to stop the charges or the interest on our cheque bank account.
And with the credit card they state they will recover the monies from the account, even though they have all taken the token payments towards all these, the credit card they have given the min about of £152 to pay or they will debit this. And have already added late charges of £12 and £50 interest........
We cannot close this down completely because of the overdraft, they will obviously then go into the unauthorised overdraft???
Sorry folks, all this is still new to us as its only the last 2 months we have started this, will be happy to have some advice in what we should do from here, thanks so much.;)

Hi Di,
I have debts with Lloyds, (CC, loan & overdraught), my overdraught was maxed at the time, they didn't take any monies (for the other debts) from the OD to put me in a worse position than I was already in. I had 1 month when I paid £1.00 to them for each of the accounts and after that they received payments through Payplan. They had added charges onto the OD, but when I phoned them, they increased my overdraught so that I wouldn't get any more charges for being over, refunded the charges that were on the OD and stopped adding more. As soon as I was back down to the previous allowed OD they reduced the amount and are still not adding anything to it.
Duw, that was a ramble but I hope you can understand what I mean.
Good luck n I hope your hubby has a good result from his interview.

Hi Karen
Thanks so much for this.;)
They are hard work ain't they?
Do you mind telling me what they done about your credit card repayments?
Thanks hun, I am worried they will still try taking the money then it will be unauthorised.
Just wrote to them again now.
Thanks for your lovely wishes, hopefully he should hear the result soon in regards of the interview, other than that, he said he enjoyed it.;)
I shall keep you posted, thank you again.:A

Hi again
Forgot to say in my last post above, even though we are clients of CCCS, we do this ourselves, so we are not on DMP, as there is not enough to play with at this time for a plan, however it will be on review when my hubby finally returns to work.;)
Hopefully then one will be set up then where the payments are made directly from CCCS, I think this is the problem, even though they are aware we are already with them, but as its us dealing with them ourselves, we also enclose the Client ref number, but they are not playing fair yet.The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi di
They are a bunch of !!!!!!.
Do not panic, easy to say but do not, they want you to do that. Have you just set up the CCCS plan? When is first payment due to go to Lloyds? Keep opening the letters, keep them for reference.
I would now sit down and write them a letter and send it off to their addresses as per their correspondence, my belief is, the loan and O/D is the same address but credit card is different. Do you have a copy of your income and expenditure with CCCS? If so copy this and put it in the envelope with the letter. Tell them you are paying token payments whilst your plan is being set up (assuming this is what is happening) that you are serious about clearing your debt and need their co-operation. Tell them you have no control over the payment date, but CCCS pay all creditors on the 25th of every month and this is when they can expect payment. Let CCCS send the payments, they will take them and eventually they will back off but be warned that will only be for 6 months, then the blood suckers will be back wanting more. The letters and phone calls will start again. Be brave keep phoning them, keep writing to them. Do not give in, even if they ask for an extra pound. Tell them you do not have the £1 at all and that is why you are on a plan that is paying them what you can afford. You pay it, they will be back days later asking for more and you will end up in a right mess. Stand firm. They threatened me sometime ago with that Consumer Debt Recovery department, I have never had or seen anything with that on come to me. Please keep going. You are not alone and am sure there are lots of knowledgeable people on here that can help. Also phone CCCS and tell them contents of the letter, asking them what they are replying to them with. After all you are using their service. To be honest, CCCS never seem to liaise with my creditors - as per you, 3 of mine are LLoyds, CC, loan and OD. x0 -

Hi there hunni and thanks for this.;)
This is our 2nd month in going to token payments.
We are with CCCS and sent everything including expenditure sheets, copies of the mortgage arrears that are at a critical level, unfortunately the mortgage with Lloyds as well (C&G), we sent them everything last month when we first started this, but do not have a plan yet with CCCS only advice with client ref details.
Before we started this we had no arrears with them with the 2 loans, credit card etc, plus there is the £5.5 overdraft.
I even gave them personal details of my high BP, hubby on depression meds, we have a son with autism.
Hubby on JSA, hoping to return to new employment soon and myself a full time carer for my autistic son.
Thanks for the info/advice, much grateful, hopefully it will soon fall into place.
The complaints section of lloyds have received 2 complaints over the last month, prior to going through the proper procedures first where lloyds did not help when we asked for it.
Will keep you posted.;):AThe one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi Di!
I know its hard not to panic, but I have been thrashing my head against a brick wall with Lloyds for 2 years now and so far they haven't sent any flying monkeys out to my house to steal the children. Not that they have ever threatened to do so, but I suspect they will in the next letter.
Lloyds recently refused my token payments so I have written a letter of complaint to a Richard Moore, Senior Officer of The Consumer Debt Recovery Department. Stating that.
'Due to the circumstances of our income for the next few weeks I feel that my token offer of £10 month until further employment is gained to be extremely generous when considering that we have priority debts and other creditors to take in to account whilst we're facing financial hardship.'
I also included
'To further compound matter Lloyds TSB continue to charge interest totalling £155 a month on the balance of the loan owed out of the £218.71 monthly payments, thus leaving only £63.71 to be credited to our debt. Being that we're facing financial hardship I find this to be unfair and creating an impossible situation where we will never clear our debt.'
At the end of the letter I put.
'I would like to take this opportunity to quote to you from The Banking Code, which states that banks should act 'sympathetically and positively' to customers facing financial difficulties. I feel in my experience with Lloyds TSB, this has not happened.'
I have given him 14 days to reply. I'll keep you posted. Even if I don't get anything out of the letter it was extremely therapeutic to write.0 -

Hi hun
Thanks for this.:A
I will write that name down if you don't mind then and mention about the banking code, something that I forgot about in the letters already sent.
Great info and advice, thanks so much hunni.:AXXXThe one and only "Dizzy Di"

I'm helping my SIL through a DMP and to date, Lloyds have been the most difficult and threatening of all the creditors.
The CCCS have said that in the early days of arranged payments, it's pretty normal for there to still be a lot of problems until things calm down.
Take comfort in that you are not alone. It may sound flippant, but I consider it a kind of game of wits these days. They write a snotty letter, so I write one back. If she had the money, they'd have it. She can't maigic it out of thin air."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
