Premium bonds cheque question

I've won £25 (only got £100 which I invested in April so result!), but they've sent a cheque out with my winnings. I know this will sound stupid but on a normal cheque, the person paying would sign it in the bottom right corner.
On this one, there's a dotted line with 'signature of payee' written upon it. Is that for me to sign?
Cheers
Joe

I took one of these to my bank years ago, and the cashier insisted on seeing me sign it there and then in front of her, despite the fact that I had already signed it before setting off from home.0

Prizes from NS&I aren't sent as cheques. They are in fact warrants. They are cleared by banks in the same way as a cheque, but due to how they work, they must be signed by the person receiving the funds instead of the person who is sending the funds.0

I work in a large building society and we have these cheques paid in all the time. Some people have signed them and some haven't, they are all paid in and go through the same. Hope this helps!0

Last time I paid one of these in, the bank person told me there was no need to sign it.0

Bossworld,
You can have winnings reinvested in more PB's, they will then only send you the warrant if you exceed the holding limit.
So if you get a warrant in the post, you will know you've dropped a shed load!0
