PPI Claim against GE Money / Santander

Hi Everyone,
Urgent advice needed on my above claim...
I have sent several letters to GE Money (now i believe to be Santander Cards) regarding the misselling of the PPI on my store card, this is due to the fact that at the time of taking out the policy (Nov 2002 - in store) i was a full-time student and not working the required min 16 hrs p/week. Therefore policy was of no use.
I received a reply asking for evidence of this and so after contacting my old college sent them a letter from my college stating my time in full-time education with them.
After a couple of months of the usual "we havent received the evidence please send it again" and "it will be another 4 weeks" they have sent me a letter saying;
"the evidence provided is not sufficient for our enquiries please provide us with a copy of national insurance contributions paid for the year in which the policy was sold, if this is not received by July 15th, your complaint will be closed" :mad:
Which I personally thought was rather cheeky after the messing around they've done and also the fact that the dates on their letters do not match up with what they have been saying, at all! :rolleyes:
I dont have a problem with sending them any info they need, just not sure what exactly they want (P60's etc) or how to go about getting it???
Any help/advice would be great!

Hi there
I feel personally they are stalling this on purpose, I may be wrong but I take it you supplied them with the college documents they required and now they are stating this is not sufficient.
I would give the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) a call on this matter, ring them, explain as you have above and ask is there any way they can take a look at this for you.
I do note that its a sale purchase from 2002, let the FOS know about this as well, to make sure they can take a look, good luck and please let us know what they say, thanks.;)

Hi
Who did you write to? Do you write to the store or the Head Office of Santander somewhere?
I took out my Debenams store card in 2001 or 2002 I think and I was sold PPI but when I tried to cancel it months after I was told I couldn't. I felt as if I couldn't say no. Do I have a case? I've been paying PPI for about 8 years I think but don't know how I can find out how much I paid etc and really don't know where to start despite having all of these letter templates.
Any help anybody can give me would be great..0
