Vanquis interest rate increases

I've just had my statement through from Vanquis this morning and there was a note at the foot of the statement saying my interest rate would be going up from 47.89% to an even more whopping 54.19%.
I'd noticed elsewhere on the forum at least one other poster saying they also had an increased interest rate from next month.
So I just wondered how many more of us would be in the same boat.

I've read that a few people have had their rates go up. I've just got my first statement and my APR has gone DOWN. I was quoted at being 39.9% APR, on my statement it shows interest at 34%

If my interest rate goes up, I think I'll probably close my account with them. I tend to leave a balance each month, and currently have Aqua and CapitalOne as well. 2 CC's is enough for me.

I was 'upgraded' to a Gold card last month, phoned them up to see what the difference was, basically none but they said I would have more frequent limit reviews and possibly better APR. Lo and behold at bottom of statement this month I see a small message telling me my APR is going up to 50%+!

Needless to say, will be paying off this month and closing!
