Bank charges put me overdrawn and then I get charged for that too!!!

Yeah I know the simple answer is check my account for any charges, but I missed this one. It was a £5 debit interest charge that I missed. It's put my account £1.17 above my £500 overdraft limit. So now I get charged a £20 management fee, and a service fee of £20 a day (up to a maximum of 4 charges per month).

What gets me is, if it was a different company wanting £5 off me, the bank would have said no because there was not enough money in my account to cover it. But as its the bank wanting £5, they say yes and put me overdrawn :(
