I'm trying out Avira at the moment, I just don't like looking at these paid ones and thinking Ooo I have 112 days left to use my computer...

I'm going for the completely free approach :p

If your computer is slowing down when you install Antivirus then your infected with Malware.

Im afraid I beg to differ :(

Back in 2004 removing Norton from a brand new gaming PC raised it's "3dmark2003" score by nearly 2000 points, a massive improvement when you consider that overclocking the CPU and memory only gave a 200 point improvement. No infections were found at the time either.

Removing symantec corporate AV from my laptop, got rid of the file "RTVSCAN.exe" that was hogging nearly 160mb of memory at startup. Scanned using Norton online scan and Kaspersky online and checked with malwarebytes and spybotSD, it has no infection of any kind whatsoever.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Amazon are doing Norton Internet Security 2009 single user for around £19 atm
    Antivirus/Antispyware/Antiphising, Firewall etc.

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Norton-Internet-Security-2009-Computer/dp/B001EQ698G/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=software&qid=1245674299&sr=8-5

Run it on my PC, its not the resource hog that older editions were.(they include a CPU usage monitor to prove the point I guess)
That gum you like is coming back in style.

None, Kasperky is only one for me. It is cheaper than all of them and better. Why go for a more expensive software that will make your computer run like a crab.;)

Open a bank account with Barclays. Bung a couple of quid in there and register for online banking.

You now get FREE Kaspersky FULL VERSION with a freely renewable licence every 12 months. Bargain!
