Hi, I set up a direct debit online and received a letter through the post on the 13th June, to say the following direct debit has been set up, but in the meantime until your statement says money will be collected by direct debit, to make the payment with an alternative method.
I made a payment anyway with my debit card online as I didn't want to take any risks, this has shown as going through and my account is upto date so no problem.
Anyway first statement arrived on the 14th June and it says minimum amount will be taken on or around 3rd July by direct debit, so I thought oh well that's all good, direct debit set up.
But Friday 19th June, I've received through the post a direct debit mandate form to be completed and sent back to them.
Should I just ignore it, or complete it and send it back, but then I wonder if 2 direct debits will be set up. Hmm.
