Hi all,
I purchased a bulk mail sender called WorldCast from a company called Fair Logic. It cost me over $50 (£37) and I cant get it to work properly. It won't send lots at a time, infact it will only send about 1,000 at a time and that takes well over an hour and a half to do which is pathetic.
It also has a built in email address verifier and when I add emails to it to verify, it takes hours to do. When its done, I import the email addresses it says were valid then send my mail. It then starts chucking 70% out saying they were bad, yet when they were being verified they were ok.
Theres a ton of things not working right with it, but when I contact Fair Logic about it and ask for there help they ignore my emails. I have send over 10 emails to them asking for help and not once received a reply.
They even have a help forum type thing where they tell you to post your questions and one of their representatives will reply and help, which they dont.
I mean the free version wasnt all that good and the help section said it would work better when its purchased, so I thought i'd buy it and use it, but its not working properly at all.
What can I do? I have no way of contacting them and they have just taken my money and not bothered to speak to me at all. Has anyone here got WorldCast or used it before? Can anyone help me set it up right so it will work properly? Or any ideas on how I can either get in touch with Fair Logic or comaplin to the authorities about it to try and get my money back or something?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks

Best thing to do is not to send bulk mail, as it means you are a spammer
and peeps dont like that at all, as for the program is their any updates on
their site or can you uninstall and reinstall the program.
Sorry but Ive never had a program like this.0 -

--OR--
your ISP may throttle the port you use to send mail (25) to prevent spaming, try to use another port if the program allows you to. try any number over 1000. if you cant change the port, contact your ISP's tech support and ask if the port's blocked and if they can unblock it.0 -

Not nessecarily. It might be used quite legitimatly for sending messages to a mailing list with subscribed users - a newsletter for instance, very much like Martin and his newsletter0 -

I agree that there are valid uses for mass mailers but this muppet has broken forum rules by blatantly trying to promote his/her pathetic website, both in their signature, and also in another thread which has now been removed from the forum.
As I said previously, a spammer who does not deserve any help from more knowledgeable people here! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
How's this for anti-spam justice.

Exscuse me all of you who are extremely rude!
I am NOT a spammer.
I purchased a programme to send newsletters to the memebrs of my website.
I did NOT post another thread about my website at all, so get your facts right. A members of my website posted it along with 100's of other people.
The ONLY reason I posted a replt to that thread was becuase members of the forum here were concerned and they had questions about it. I felt it my responsability to come and answer their questions to ensure my websites success.
I find it extremely pathetic that there are so many people in these forums that speak before they think or get the facts. Your fast to slag people off and put them down and call them names etc but dont listen to what they have to say.
I came here in good faith because I thought there was possably someone in this forum that wasn't a fool and that wasn't an ignorant muppet.
I'm sick of people replying to my posts with rubbish. I just asaked for help on a matter.
People think they know everything in these forums, well I got news for you people. You don't! So how about you be more helpful and help people instead of posting pathetic ignorant replies to peoples posts, who actually come here for some friendsly advice!
Im sorry to say this as I know there are many of you who do help others without having to be rude and arrogant and I thank those of you who have given me a constructive answer to my problem. Those of you who are just using these forums for an arguement or to wind people up by posting stupid replies, all I have to say to you is whats the point? You will find one day that you need help with something and everyone will ignore you or reply like you have to my posts.
I have done nothing wrong here. Fair enough, I didn't realise it was against the rules to put a link in your signature which is why I will be removing it. But as far as promoting my website on other baords is concerned, its rubbish.
Like Ive already said, there was a member (Rizla) who posted about my website and it received over 5500 viewsin 12 hours. There were over 50 replies to this which many of them were addressing concerns about my website. I thought it would be professional of me and a way of showing how serious I am by replying to their concerns so that they new what it was about.
I'm not a bad person so please do NOT make me out to be one.0
