Just checked my card statement online and I have a discrepency of £10 between my balance and my available balance so looks like Empire are in the process of taking money off me for those "free" boots too. Not only that they rang me on Thursday to tell me the order hadnt gone through due to a system error (yeh right!) and did I want to place it again. I said I would do it online later cos I was in the middle of dinner at the time she called and I never did get round to trying to re-order so am a tad peeved that i'm a tenner down, could live with it if I had the boots to show for it !! Have emailed them anyway to hopefully get it sorted.

Whats everyone up to tonight? We have got the Madonna concert on.

Evening all. Everyone had nice Saturdays? I hope so. Been gorgeous weather here - been in shorts and vest top all day. Got all my chores done this morning and then went to my in laws for this garden party this avo. Was good actually, and the bbq was nice. We took a sponsor form for our trip and raised another £70 towards that which is excellent.

When we got home I decided that as it was such a lovely evening I'd go for a bike ride - I did just over 7 miles and wore myself out!

Bit worried about the Empire Stores thing. Will be very annoyed if I've been charged - I did reorder mine. Have emailed them today and asked for a suitable response by Monday. I really hope this doesn't turn into a problem - I can't be doing with it.

Evening all. Hope you have all had a nice day. Been really busy here and just logging on. Went swimming this morning, while my DS had his lessons. Not had a good swim in a while and its really exhausting Then did the garden, its been gorgeous all day until around seven when the heavens opened.

Re Empire Stores, the lady I spoke to on the phone on Thursday when I reordered said they charged your card first and then after the order had come it was put back on. Seems a bit strange to me but I shall be checking my card. Oddly I got my boots yesterday but on the reorder they said it would be Monday. I am now wondering if I will get two pairs! We shall see .....

Splodz can you tell which email address you sent it to, as i also reordered them but never got comfirmation in a email?

I used the contact form on their website. I logged into my account and then clicked on 'contact us'. I had an automated reply to say they respond within 24 hours.

I'm really worried about it. I certainly don't want two pairs!

I just rang my bank and there is a debit for five pounds but there is also a credit for five pounds. The order confirmation does say
"If you have paid for your order with a credit or debit card then we will process your payment in two stages. First we will charge your card with the full price of
the order then we will refund your card with the value of the discount. Please note that the payment and refund may not occur simultaneously but the
refund will be made no later than when your order is despatched."

so it looks like since I have received a pair everything is ok. Hope its the same for you guys
