They said basically the opposite of the truth. That I can walk fine, I don't need supervision, I dont suffer with motivation or general care and although I am at risk of self harm its ok because I dont cut deep enough to do substantial damage.

Anyone else had a tiny pot of Lush solid perfume turn up? It's 'Vanillary' and smells gorgeous, I can see the dog licking that off from me.

    (((((((kkk)))))))

ikkle, make sure you put in an appeal. They turn down most people as a cost saving exercise hoping that they won't bother to appeal. Get help from citizen's advice and lay it on really thick (think of your very worst days) - there's so many lazy *bleepers* out there with nothing wrong with them lying their @r$e$ off on claims, so don't feel guilty.

Don't feel guilty ... although that's what sets you apart from the cheaters because you can guarantee they don't feel guilty about the lies they tell to scrounge money off the tax-paying public. When you've got additional needs you should be entitled to the extra bit of help to make your life a little bit easier than it is now.

It never ceases to amaze me how so many scroungers get awarded DLA so easily yet genuine people in need have a struggle to get it because they play down their problems as it's what they're used to and live with every day. :( I used to get regular depression when the renewal forms were due but finally after 16 years we've got a lifetime award for our eldest ... as if he was suddenly going to wake up one morning and start talking, using the toilet, feeding himself etc.
