The "BULK BUY" thread.

I thought it might be a good idea to list some products from supermarkets etc that are good for bulk buy, e.g; toothpaste, toilet rolls, tins of soup, beans etc, dried foods, frozen foods, nappies, baby wipes, or foods that CAN be frozen or alcohol!
Tell us where to get it. The good ones are from supermarkets that deliver, and are EVEN BETTER with a free delivery code!
Morrisons have good deals, but dont deliver, but still LIST any good offers!
So fire away..........

Ok, I'll start.......

Tesco Finest Beef Rump Steak, better than half price, from £12.49 to £4.49 (£9.35 per Kilo)
Princes Tuna Chunks (4 tins) from £5.39 to £2.69
Kellogs Bran Flakes and Frosties a POUND each from £1.77 and £1.98 respectively.
Nicolas Feuilliatte champagne from £26.96 to £16.96
8 rolls of Bounty from £5.67 to £3.79
Persil 4.75kg washing powder, from £9.70 to £7.00 (£14.7 per 100g) and this is the cheapest washing powder Iv found on both Asda and Tesco.
Easy up Pants in boxes, from £11.98 to £7.98! Very good value.0 -
I buy naturediet (wet food in tubs) from www.berriewoodwholesale.co.uk. Its usually anything between 64p to 75p a tub in shops but occasionally you can buy tubs from when they change the batch from say salmon to chicken. These work out at about 32p a tub. They come in 12 boxes of 18 tubs for £82.66 plus £3.99 package and posting. I normally get two lots these with a few £15kg bags of arden grange lamb (£25.59 each) plus cat food for my mum (12 tins £4.94) to take full advantage of the p+p costs and lower prices for bigger orders.0

Charmin toilet rolls in Netto are £4.99 for 24 which is great, they also have massive boxes of Daz for £11.99Aug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00

Sainsbury tissues have just come off special offer
but they are still 25p for 150 tissues of quite acceptable quality (especially for toddler mop ups) from sustainable sources.
I got 8 when they were on at 12p!
Those are the sort of things I will stock up on when there is an offer, because they don't go off.
Thank you for starting this thread - I have a compulsion to stockpile, and this thread will give me some good ideas.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
Sainsburys baby items are 1/3 off, so their baby wipes are only 62p a pack. That makes them cheaper than Asda's "Get 6 packs for £5".0

I bulk-buy toilet rolls called ASDA shades. 16 roles for 4.99. I really don't recommend their basics range here!
I do think these are quite good quality.0 -
Im bulk buying (single offer) country life in Tesco 500grms half price £1 oddSIMPLES!0

How can I stop bulk buying? I just seem to have a strange compulsion to hoard. It is a desperate effort of will just to buy one of anything. I have managed to only have twenty toilet rolls in reserve. I have cupboards and freezers full.
It is quite a serious question. Dear heart enjoys the benefit of never running out of toilet roll or sugar, but does question the economics. I have a vast quantity of sugar, bought in bulk about ten years ago. The frustrating thing is that it was an impulse buy in Costco, a huge tray of sugar which wouldn't go off. But at the time it would have been cheaper for me to buy the sugar in Nettos.
I have just given away a large quantity of cat food. Evil cat is on a special diet and of course I had bought standard food in bulk before the new diet (lovely and expensive, and of course ordered in bulk) and had so much left over.
So I shall be watching this thread with interest but I am trying not to buy in bulk.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -

In my local Nettos its either £5.49 or £5.99 for 24 not that I seem to get any as they always sell out or still waiting for stock to come in but on the chance I can get some I get 2 lotsCharmin is the best loo roll I think
