Duplicates on credit check - normal?

Hello,

Thought I'd have a look at my credit situation via creditexpert.co.uk. I have an overdraft on my bank account which I never exceed and one credit card that is rarely used. My "net debt" if that's makes sense, all I have outstanding is £1000-ish (overdraft + credit card), but, on the creditexpert.co.uk site both of these accounts are down three times each, therefore it says my "net debt" is £6000+!

Is this normal? Why would it have happened and can it be rectified?

Cheers,

Lewis

It's not correct. Contact the bank and get this corrected.

And if the bank is no help, you can raise a query with the CRA itself who will liase with the bank.

    Thanks for the speedy reply.

Both my credit card and my overdraft bank account (and other bank accounts, ones without overdrafts) have been duplicated too - why would this have happened?

    Cheers again,

If all your accounts are duplicated/triplicated, then the problem lies with the CRA not the account providers.

Experian have a freephone number, so give them a call (during office hours if possible). Alternatively, if there's a secure messaging facility on your Experian account then use that instead.

Most of all, be sure to 'formalise' your complaint.
