New car - cashback possibility?
Comments
-
Student loans don't appear on your credit report so no benefit there.
Like YB says, assuming a 1% cashback on a card, and a car costing £ 10,000, you just ask for £ 101 off the price and you're better off.
No sales person worth their salt (okay, I'm one of them
) will turn down a deal for the sake of such a small amount. If you ask for £1010 off they'll argue the case, but 1% you can negotiate off the price up front
Car dealers will charge you 2-3% for a credit card transaction as you'll soon find out. "A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0
