Comprehensive Car Insurance on Continent - is it possible?

Options
Hi

I'm moving to Germany for 8 months in August and want to take my car. Im currently insured with Direct Line in the UK and want to have comprehensive cover in Germany.

Does anybody know of an insurance company who will be able to provide this? Any advice and links would be greatly appreciated

as its just for 8 months im not intending on registering it on German plates - it's my understanding this isnt required for stays of less than 12 months. I would have to reverse it on my return to britain too

Call Direct Line. They may be able to extend your cover in Europe, but you won't know if you don't ask them!

How old are you? SAGA do unlimited comp cover driving in europe.

Alternativly find a local broker who can point you to a policy that will offer cover.

SAGA seem to insure only over 50 year olds....I'm only 22! But I will try and find a local broker
