Not Prestige. WE bought one then it needed parts two weeks later.
    comet wrote it off.
Because they couldn't get parts for it and the f/f was Brand NEW!!

    Hi,

Right - recommendations for frost free fridge freezers starting at the top:

Sub Zero - American brand can't get any better, starting at around £5,000.

Gaggeneau - German equivalent to Sub Zero, same sort of money.

Miele Mastercool - Comes out of the same factory as the Gaggenau units, excellent quality.

Amana - Probably best of standard American fridge freezers, starting at around £1,800.

Admiral, GE, and other American brands - All OK if you want a big fridge freezer with ice and water, starting from £1,500.

Miele - Best of standard european refrigeration. Starting from around £500.

Bosch and Siemens - Next best alternative to Miele, from £300 ish.

Short reply but covers the basics.

My previous frost free fridge freezer was an Ariston & was brilliant. I only got rid of it when I moved here last year & wanted an integrated appliance after having a new kitchen installed. My trusty Ariston was donated to somebody else.

My current appliance is a Baumatic, which while ok, in no way compares to the Ariston sadly, although Baumatic have excellent customer service.

It might be an idea to go along to your local library & check out their copies of Which? magazine & see what their best appliance was when they last tested frost free fridge freezers. This wasn't a possibility for me as I wanted an integrated appliance & there were no tests run on these & the market is limited where ff integrated fridge freezers are concerned.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

really happy with my Bosch. The alarm when you've had it open too long is brill with kids, plus temp display.

    I've got a hotpoint.

On the plus side I like the spacious freezer, the granite colour, wine rack, door alarm and holiday mode to save energy.

I dislike the space lost on top shelf due to cooling unit.
