Yey!! Just ordered it! The guy on th phone DID try charging me the full £18 for it though!

This is what concerns me - that they will put it through at the full amount
  • OK so I couldn't put an order through and rang littlewoods to ask why it was coming up 'credit rejected'...its because of code misuse and they're charging them all back to me, my balances are gonna be shooting up, thought I should warn y'all it really does happen!!!! i'm not doing it anymore, its not worth it when you can't return what you've bought in order to try and make some of the money up.:(

Can i ask why you say you can't return the goods? The Distance Selling Regulations tend to say differently.

if you return goods they refund you the price you paid, so you'd be £5 short because they'll refund you the discount price.

in the christmas 3for2 thing I'd returned my free item (it was broken), they credited me zero then later they charged me for using the code, and charged me the £18.99 price of the free toy I'd returned.

If they refund the price you paid, how do you end up £5 short? They're obviously not going to reund the £5 because it came out of their pocket in the first place?

This is a bit worrying! I've used the code 4 times using 4 different email accounts! Does this mean I'm going to be charged an extra £20. I wouldn't have thought they'd be allowed to do that. I paid by debit card and as far as I'm concerned i only authorised them to take the total due amount which had the £5 taken off.

I'd be interested to hear what other MSEs think.

All goods arrived and checked by bank statements to find I have got all the £5s refunded. Excellent! Don't think I'll push my luck any further though. Know when to quit I say. Thanks to the original poster who spotted these great deals.
