    You aren't going to get 300 flats on one football pitch. I'll have a look round, there is an upper limit on numbers of dwellings per acre/hectare, and I'll post back.

    In certain areas, birth rates are falling as people move out of catchment areas and schools are having to use classrooms for community use (happening in the school I work in) or alalgamate with other schools.

    Maybe selling off the school field to build local housing is the school's way of keeping younger families in the area to produce children to attend the school.

    Is it possible to get a meeting together with your neighbours and other interested parties and invite the headteacher and governors too?
    Just a thought.
