Charity payments - alternative to Paypal

Hi,

I have a contact who runs a charity in Kenya. They've been using Paypal for donations, but are finding the charges something of a hindrance.

Does anyone know of an alternative, free (or, at least, cheaper) way that they could take online donations?

I think Nochex might be cheaper, but am under the impression that you have to be UK-based to use it.

Is it a UK registered charity?

Do they have a UK bank account?

I think they will affect the answers ...

I know Natwest will let you set up a community account or there is bmycharity type sites that allow people to donate online - I'm unsure of the costs sorry

Sadly, no, it's a Kenyan charity, which kinda scuppers things a bit. Thanks anyway - I thought it might be worth a try asking.

If when people send money through paypal, they can click on personal and then gift - then no fee is taken by paypal.
