Selling a Laptop-how much to ask?

Hello,

I have a laptop to sell, but have no idea how much it's worth. Could anyone point me in the right direction of finding out? I have looked on ebay but my laptop isn't on there.

It's an Acer Extensa 6600.

Thanks

    I found this:

Tesco are currently selling the Acer extensa 6602 with £100 off. You get 1.7 ghz intel centrino with 2mhz L2 cache 533 FSB, 512 RAM, 80Gig HD DVD +RW dual layer 15.4 in screen. cost £598 and with a 3 year warranty. Pretty good value. Not on their website, only in shop. Can't find it on Acer website so must be exclusive to @Tesco in this country.

so I personally would ask about £150-£200, and settle at a lowest of £100, but it is up to you really.

I've searched through ebay, including the completed lisitngs, but all they have is the screen, not the actual laptop. Thanks anyway.

Im sorry but that cannot be correct....

    New Acer
    1.7ghz centrino
    512mb ram
    80g HD
    15.4inch screen
    £598

    3yr old IBM T43
    1.8ghz centrino
    1024mb ram
    40g HD
    14inch screen
£180 (and I know because I just refurbished it and sold it)

That price is totally insane!! are Tesco's having a laugh?

Your looking at about £100 - £150. I would not pay any more than that. (Acer's tend to fall apart so more the £100 mark as they don't last long)

Yes, thanks. I am going to offer £100 for it, I think. I originally bought it for just under £500 about 3 yrs ago. Every little helps as we're saving for a move to Australia.

    Thank you for everyone's advice.

    Oooops :rotfl:

In which case the T43 would have cost over £1500, but still a far superior machine, build and reliability wise :)
