Watching photos on TV

Just wondered if there was any other ways of looking at photos on TV other than putting them on CD? We used to store our pictures on CD but have started storing them instead on a USB stick and werent sure whether there were any cables to connect to the TV from either the camera or memory card so can look at pictures?

Thanks

You may be able to find a digital photo viewer for your television that reads directly from flash memory cards, but as far as I can tell they're pretty rare. There are also DVD players available that do much the same thing; these are usually more expensive.

Thus, if your camera does not possess the means to interface directly with your TV your options are rather limited. You can either continue to copy your holiday snaps to disc, plug your computer into your television or replace your current DVD player with something like this.

thansk for that, we have a DVD player but it was very cheap a few years since and isnt the best - its pretty tempermental and wont play some DVDs so we are looking at possibly getting a new one sometime. We have Sky+ too so that may affect our choice

That DVD player that you linked to mentions a USB port - does this mean that we could plug in our memory stick that has a load of pictures on and watch them on the TV?

I presume so. It'd be a pretty useless USB port otherwise!

I have one of these. It plays movies, mp3s and pictures directly from SD card or USB. It also has a built-in freeview tuner. I personally have not tried photos on it though.

It doesn't support SDHC. How old is this thing anyway?

Have had it about 6 months now, but it does everything I need it for.
