Problem with wire to laptop

Hi

I am looking for some advice. I bought a laptop from Aldi earlier this year, the Medion Akoya. The wire that goes from the connector box to the laptop is starting to fray just where it connects to the laptop. It is exposed and I can see silver electrical thread. I don't know if I can take it back to Aldi and get a replacement or if I will need to purchase one and if I do need to purchase one, where would I get one?

Thanks

ring up the Medion helpline , may be a known fault, and they should replace as its under a year old

  • Thanks
I am really rubbish at all things technical and wouldn't have known to do that. I am so glad I can come on here and ask.

    Thanks again.
  • Just phoned them and have to provide them with copy of my receipt and they will send out a new power pack.

    Thank you

    easy peasey :)

it often happens if the lead gets pulled at an angle under the Laptop , try and remember to let it trail straight out the back all the time
