Sliding patio doors and cat flaps

Does anyone know if it is possible to fit a cat flap in one of these?
TIA.

I made enquiries into it and it is, but it's quite expensive - you would need to have the pane removed, a cat flap fitted and the pane replaced.

We ended putting a cat flap in the wall next to the door.

it would cost LOADS. a friend of mine was quoted £200 just to put one in a glass panel in a door.

in the end he replced it with a uPVC panel and had the flap cut in. No good for you so look for another route as suggested.

I think that my son paid over £300 for his. It was a completely glazed panel without a divider. In one side of a pair of French doors.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

I paid about £160 to have a large pane replaced in a pair of wide sliding patio doors I had in my previous house for a pane with a cat flap.

The cat flap has to be fitted as part of the manufacturing process to ensure that the seal between the double glazing remains airtight.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

Most of the above is correct, you have to have a new double glazed unit made with a hole for the cat flap at a cost of £150 - £200 (the catflap doesn't have to be fitted during manufacturing but they need precise dimensions!)
For Patio doors, you will probably also need a slimline catflap so it doesn't restrict the door.

Might be cheaper just to get someone to drill a big-enough hole in the wall and fit a cat flap to it??

A friend's done this- no idea how much it cost though.
