Hi
We are going to a wedding in Weymouth in August. Does anyone have any good tips for a nice but not too expensive hotel. Have looked at quite a few hotel chain sites but not many appear to have hotels there.
Thanks

Hi bisto,
Would you prefer a hotel to a B&B/guest house? There's a nice looking guest house here, which has great reviews on tripadvisor and is £58 per night for a double room with breakfast. Very near to the sea too-looks lovely!

Hi CG77.
A cheeky question...
does the 'CG' in 'CG77' stand for Cunard Guest house?
A reason for asking is that their website doesn't mention £58.00 at all. Do you have 'inside information'?0 -
Ha ha Keith!!
No, it doesn't at all-purely coincidental I promise (I'm from sunny Stockport!) I actually foound the £58 on this website http://www.laterooms.com/en/p1301/pv2025074/hotel-reservations/99556_the-cunard-guest-house-weymouth.aspx
but thought I'd post the hotel's own website for the OP as it had more info on it.
Hope that clears things up!!

Bit more expensive though
Where is the wedding and do you want to be close to the venue?

There is a Premier Inn though, at Lodmoor just on the way into Weymouth from the Poole direction. We stayed there at late May BH - it is just across the road from the seafront, but you can't actually see the sea from the Premier Inn. Plenty of free parking too, which is at a premium in Weymouth.A chicken crossing the road is poultry in motion0 -
there is one? is it near the sealife centre?0

Yes, the Premier Lodge is next to the Sealife Centre. Have never stayed there but been past lots of times.0
