JSA Belfast

Hi, I'm currently claiming Contribution Based JSA in Belfast. I received a letter from SSA saying that they can't pay me from 13th July cos my NI contributions have run out. What should i do? I've heard about Income Based JSA and i'm just wondering if i will automatically switch from contribution based to income based, or if i have to go through the application again?
My partner is claiming ESA and i was wondering whether she would have to do an ESA claim for the both of us once my JSA runs out?
Answers would be great.
Cheers
Johnny

It can go either way. You can claim for her on JSA Income Based or she can claim for you on ESA Income Related.
Eiter way a form has to be filled in. For JSA its a JSA3, I think, whereas with ESA you can do it on either a ESA1 or ESA2.
Personally I would go the ESA route.0
