I used both prefer the finish with a roller, both hard work to clean up after wards though
Obviously have to do edges with a brush
I was talking to a decorator other day he says best finish is with a sprayer, what ever you do dont go near the dulux paint systems, he says they are rubbish0 -

just used rollers for both ceilings and walls and really happy with the finish last time i used pads i didnt get a very good finish at all. I bought some good quality expensive rollers from homebase though.Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0

Harris or max finish rollers
The more the roller is used the better the finishHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
Rollers all the way. Go for a professional size 9" x 1.75".
Pads are a no no... to be honest. As are Spray systems, insomuch as you don't get the thick coat that you need for durability. It may well look the job, but try putting on a softsheen or a washable matt - only to discover months down the line that neither are washable anymore and low and behold.... you're on your own0 -
Pads are only ok if you have a load of stuff in the room but they are hard work, if you can can cover everything then a roller is the way to go. Dulux paint pods are like fondu sets, great idea, look good but after using it twice it'll go in the bin.0
