Claiming charges from Barclaycard

I'm about to strat the process of claiming from Barclaycard, however, I have fallen behind in my payments, to the point they are threatning me with legal action.
I have just entered into a Debt Management Scheme so hope to sort them out this way.
Will Barclaycard ignore my request for the payment for charges as they are dealing with me through a debt recovery company or are they still obliged to reply and deal with my request?
