Stopping an auction < 8 hours to run

I had three tft monitors for sale as auctions ending today. I forgot though that i sold one one friday that was shop inventory.

So now i have three auctions ending, and only two monitors. I tried cancelling all the bids, but even though there are no bids its saying i can't stop the auction as it has less than twelve hours to run.

Are there any ways round this?

I would edit the description to say no longer for sale to stop anyone bidding on the item

go to your 'my ebay'. click the little drop don list where you have options and click the 'end item' option. Then just follow the instructions

not too much you can do i'm afraid in the last 12 hours :-(

cancle all bids and change the pics (if you host your own) / ammend the description

but do be prepared for the !!!!!! that bids 99p with 1 sec left then DEMANDS the item :-)

Had tried that already - it won't let me amend the description as there are less than 12 hours to go - it won't even let me add to the description - i was going to put something in big red letters...

Yes, thats my fear, and then NEGS me!!

I think i am going to have to sit tight and just remove any bids up to auction completion. If anyone does bid in the last second - that i don't catch - then i will refund them and tell them i had been removing bids as the item was unavailable and that can be seen in the bid history.

I can't tell you how as hubby isn't here right now but I know for a fact that he's cancelled auctions in the past that had no bids on and less than twelve hours to go. I'll let you klnow how later when he gets home
