Space bar fooked?

The space bar on my lappy is playing up. You have to give it a good hard tap for it to actually work which as you can imagine is a right pain. I have hoovered in and around it but no good. Can you poke it of someway or is it perminantly attached to the key mat? Its a Dell Inspiron by the way.

They do lift off but you might find it won't go back on with ease.

Yeah you can lift it off, be gentle and do it somewhere light in case anything comes flying off. If you have no joy, you can get a new keypad without too much hassle.

Ok,got it of and cleaned under it and got it back on,was rather akward, and it has made no difference. You have to hitright in the middle of the space bar or it doesn't work

I had this problem with my spacebar too. I've used double sided tape to put it back on, not perfect I know but it works
