Are you planning on re-installing Windows or do you want to format an extended partition or external hard drive?

Okay, do you have an Original Windows CD or do you have recovery disks provided by your manufacture?

Instructions should be in the manual, or manufacturers website.

You can check the settings in the BIOS (press del , Esc or one of the 'F' keys, it should say on post which one to press to enter 'setup') which you access on the post screen before Windows starts to load up.

If you put the disk in and reboot the computer it should just boot to the disk anyway. You may have to press enter (or any key) to boot from the CD when prompted.
