qs have some black or pink or turquoise sandals similar to croc plastic for £3. I bought some to use on holiday and found them super comfortable and good for my wide feet - real crocs are too narrow, tried some a couple of years back.

I love my crocs on holiday :) just make sure you use the correct crocs sizing from the website :)
The best things i have ever wore in the water :)

Was thinking of getting a pair for my holiday on the beach to protect me from the dreaded weaver fish while body-boarding. Never tried a pair of crocs, but they look as if they'd come off very easily in the water. Is that the case?
Ah! Good old trusty beer... I hope you never change.

They do lots of styles so you could get the ones that are like dolly shoes.
Although I agree with previous poster that they are just too uncool :p

My son has some crocs IMO they are for kids when playing in the paddling pool etc and no where else

I have two pairs of cheap replicas and they are very comfy . One pair has been worn loads and loads both last year and this year, think they were £3 still got wear left. Got a second pair for £5 in millets and still very comfy. Think it's all down to getting the right fit like any other shoes.
I don't care if they don't look smart comfort all the time for me !

Last thing I would worry about is being uncool to other people if my feet are comfortable then the rest of me will be too.
  • I have both the real and fakey crocs, but find the real ones much more comfy.
I paid about £5.00 a pair for the cheap ones and then was lucky enough to find a brand new real pair in a charity shop for £6.00 and a pair of mary-janes in a closing down sale at a shoe shop for £5.00 - bargain

Holey Soles are the Canadian version of crocs and are just as comfortable and hard wearing. Millets was selling Holey Soles for £5, my local store (Redcar) still has a few pairs but they are the very large and very small sizes.

Woo hoo ... was in Middlesbrough today and managed to find two pairs in my size in Millets. They only had a dozen pairs left in the store.

Poundland are selling "charms". Looked like about 8 in the pack. They are little rubber buttons that decorate your shoes

i think it depends on the 'fake' ones, some of them look alot more comfy than others, my OH has just bought some called 'crocos' and they are more of a foamy material than a plastic, and he loves them and says they are really comfy.

me?, i'll stick my flip flops thanks.

isabelle304 - i find my feet get filthy in any open toes shoes/sandals!

You'd be better off getting a pair of proper aquashoes - Lidl were doing them a couple of weeks ago so might be worth a look, or else there's plenty on the web.

We were provided with crocs (or fakes) when sea kayaking last summer and the answer is yes they do come off easily but they float so were easy to retrieve. I wouldn't be happy to lose £25 real crocs but if they were only £5 it wouldn't be the end of the world if they drifted off over the horizon..........
