Limited or No Connectivity

Hi

I am with AOL (I know but I have my reasons!). I tried to use another modem to no avail and when using the existing AOL modem and its software, I have hit a wall in the connection status.

I keep getting an error mesage stating:-

"Limited or No Connectivity" I then proceeded to try and repair this and then got a message saying:

"Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action cannot be completed.
Reneweing your IP address
For assistance, contact the person who manages your network"

I would be grateful if anyone who had had a similar problem to advise me on the best way to solve this please.

Hi Keith.

Have you tried completely uninstalling the AOL software then beginning the install process again from scratch? That should sort you out with a bit of luck.

Firewall issue by the sounds of it...........are you using XP? It's built in firewall cause more problems than it solves.

I have recently been getting the same message and my connection is through NTL. going through a router
