Glam, i think i read somewhere that there was a risk of listeria from soft ice cream, but i still eat it. I was in the q for a mr whippy 99 and the pregnant lady in front of me was buying a cone for her other kid and moaning that she couldn't have one, smoking away on a cig the whole time. Nice.
Edit: Cross posted with you there!
I didn't know that about soft ice cream and I had the first one in years today!! Typical! Not goign to get too worried though. Although saying that I had a nap this afternoon and have woken up with stomach ache
Hopefully it's just a result of eating too much or something. Had a bbq this afternoon and ate quite a bit cos there was lots left. (it was all thoroughly cooked though - I made sure it was cos I cooked it all!)
Hope everyone is ok today!
Re the earlier conversation of OH's talking when they come to bed, mine does that all the time when he gets in from work at 2am! It wakes me up hearing him come in the house so becasue I'm already awake he thinks it's ok to have a chat, even though it must be obvious that I just want to go back to sleep! :rolleyes:0 -

Harley - lets hope you get a response soon. I'm [STRIKE]25 [/STRIKE] 26 (I had a birthday last month ) and my Mum is 49 and my Dad 50. Dad thinks I'm making him a grandad too soon!!
I'm 26 also and my mum's 54 and dad's 56 and Mum thinks sh's way too young to be a granny! She says she doesn't feelgrown up enough! But then she also says she never felt grown up enough to have me at the time! Sure she'll get used to it though!
(P.S. I had thought you were much older than me with your fab sounding new job - seems [STRIKE]looks[/STRIKE] posts can be deceiving!!)0 -

One bit of advice, dont do what i've been doing and read about miscarriage statistics online. I spoke to my doctor about what i read and he said not to worry. The statistics are sometimes false and they dont fact in people correctly or something like that.
Are you having an early scan? Or are you just going to wait for your 12 week one?
Yeah im 6+3 nowand MS is starting
I'm going to go for an early scan in a couple of weeks, hubby and I are both off on holiday so we'll both be able to go:D
I'm not experiencing any symptoms.......yet:rotfl: I was like the last time too, nothing 'til about 6 weeks0 -
Helen, how tall/ big are you? I'm 5'1 and about 7 and a half stone when not pregnant and my daughter was 8lb15oz induced at 38wks because I had eclampsia, just wondered why your midwife was shocked at size of your baby. My friend is 5inches taller than me, bigger built by quite a bit and had to have ECS with a 7lb baby cos pelvis too narrow so i always assumed that your pelvis size not obvious from your build IYKWIM?
I can't remember who it was who told me this, but someone said that it's often the bigger or curvy girls who have too narrow hips, and it's often the tall skinny girls who have the widest hips. Totally the opposite of what you'd expect. Actually it might have been MIL, she had 2 c/s's as her hips weren't wide enough for natural birth. She's shortish and very curvy.0 -

Sarah - Are you sure you are going to lose it anyway? We didn't when we moved. Mind you, Sky+ does have a mind of its own - I missed an episode of Lost last season cause the series link randomly didn't pick one up. Wasn't as if the series was confusing enough......!!:rotfl:
Yeah it does have a mind of its own! I had thought that last time we moved we lost everything. Think I'd rather be safe than sorry with it! PLus it's an excuse not to start packing up yet cos I'm clearing the box :rotfl:0 -
Well ladies, I've had what I think is an auto reply from mothercare saying that they will respond in 24 hours so watch this space.
Mum took me shopping today and treated me. She's not done that for ages:T
We went to BHS looking for shoes but they didn't have any I liked that fit my new giant feet, so I started looking for pyjamas. I found some fab Tigger ones (yes I know I'm old but he's cute!!!). They dont say that they are maternity but the bottoms looked just the right sort of shape.
Anyway, I decided to get a size 10 as was pre-preg a size 6, I held them against me and they looked like they would fit ok. Just got round to trying them on and they are brilliant. The waist is elasticated at the back and drawstring at the front and I have had to pull them in a bit as they were still a bit loose which will give baby a bit of room to grow. Been trying to find a link but cant find them on the website. Trousers are red with Winnie the Pooh on the bottom of left leg, top is purple with big tigger printed on it.
Got them to the till and mum offered to treat me saying that I could have them for wearing in hospital. My mum is fab. And now she has talked dad into buying babys mobile for the cot. Only trouble is I want a Tiny Love Symphony in motion one and it seems like they have changed the design and increased the price by 50%. Best I can do now is £45:eek:
I'm feeling very spoiled today.Cross Stitch Challenge member 11 - May challenge well under way
