To save a lot of searching, can someone please post what this package is ?
I applied to switch to SP Online Energy No Standing Charge paying by Direct Debit which has had 100.00 Quidco validated.
Firstly I receive a letter from SP informing me that I will be making monthly cash payments, following email exchanges I was informed that SP didnt have my Bank details which I subsequently supplied. I have now received first bill by post covering 2.5 weeks leading to my discovery that ive been put on Premier Plus with standing charge.
Obviously ive contacted SP regarding this asking to be furnished with a copy of the application that I submitted.

Do you have details of what the unit rates were supposed to be when you signed up with them?
Have you phoned up scottish power and asked them what unit rates you will be paying on this tariff?
Is it a fixed tariff or just a normal one?
The difference between with standing charge prices and the NSC rates is very little anyway.
Have you tried signing up to be able to manage your account online on the scottish power website? This tells you what tariff you are on and you can see what others are available and switch if you prefer another.Indecision is the key to flexibility0 -
Eeeek... sounds very much like a capped deal, BLF. I'm hoping with no exit fees but wouldn't bet my testicles on it.
Woooahh...found it!

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
As was posted within this thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1609631&page=3
I signed up for Online Energy NSC as it was knowm to have no exit fees and as it is also known I tend to exit quickly. In fact a few weeks ago I applied to switch to EON for 70.00 Cashback and that has validated now as well.
Trouble is as far as im aware SP dont mention the tariff on any of its welcome communications, up until the time that I gave SP my Bank details by email due to them claiming they didnt have them ( 100.00 cashback was dependent on application having been made by DD) online log in was not available, SP state it can be up to 60 days.
This is welcome email they give, doesnt state the tariff applied for, so people assume they have been set up on the tariff that they applied for.

Dear ......
Thank you for choosing ScottishPower. With our money-saving products and award winning service, you can be confident you've made the right choice.
Your old supplier might now get in touch, but you can check you're getting the best deal by calling us on 0800 027 0238.
There are many reasons that ScottishPower's online service is better than other suppliers, which is why we are ranked No.1 Online Service Provider in the UK*. For instance, we are the only company to offer real time billing. You can also submit your meter readings, view your energy account, and pay your paper bills online, 24/7, at a time that suits you.
Also, in a few days time, we will contact you for an opening meter read so that we can finalise things with your old supplier. When we've requested this, simply visit www.scottishpower.co.uk/omr and enter your details. It only takes a couple of minutes and it will ensure your account is set up accurately. An up to date reading also ensures you're only paying for the energy you use.
These are just some of the ways we try to make everything easy and convenient for you with our online service.
Yours sincerely
James B Paterson
Sales and Marketing Director

Ultimately im confident that application will show online energy NSC was applied for just facinated to know what "Package Premier Plus" actually is :
Tried to log in now all I get is My Online Energy Account in big letters with blank white screen underneath.Help
Looking at Carmines link, must be Page 7 table ( While i always go on NSC due to using little Gas, ive been set up on SC Tariff) which states "Pay monthly by Direct Debit or standing order" so perhaps when they switched me from the originally set up Pay monthly Cash, to DD they changed the tariff as well.0 -
If you're not going to be with them for that long then I suppose it won't make much difference anyway!
It sounds like something went wrong in the application process if you gave your bank details and then they didn't have them, and if you applied for NSC and they've put you on SC.
I hope you get your cashback anyway!Indecision is the key to flexibility0 -
My scottish power online account is working at the moment.. I've just checked
I first of all get a screen inviting to me to pre-pay, then after I click next I get a screen with all my details on
Have you tried with a different web browser in case it's pop up blocker problems or script problems?Indecision is the key to flexibility0 -
Ill keep switching till an Energy Company gets something right.
"Thank you for your email, which has been allocated complaint reference ......
.
Please accept my apologies for the problem you have encountered.
Your accounts were originally set up on the correct tariff which you requested
on your application. However, we were then advised by your bank that the bank
account detailed on the application was closed, and they did not provide any new
bank details. Accordingly, your account defaulted to our monthly payment scheme.
When you subsequently provided us with your new bank details, the original
application was not checked, so the tariff and direct debit amount were
incorrectly set. Please accept my sincere apologies for this.
Your electricity account is due to leave us on 29 June, and the gas account on
26 June. I have cancelled your direct debit, and we will send final bills when
the readings are received from your new supplier."0
