My PC often does not display photo's that are posted on forums. All I get is the little red square. Anybody know how to get around this?

I have tried right-clicking and selecting 'show picture' which doesn't work. Funnily enough, yesterday, on a guitar forum that I regularly use, I could see a pic, but then an hour later, it too had become a little red square!! :(

About 3 years on this works PC. :)

On here, a couple of hours ago I looked on a thread (pictures of MSE users) and 99% were little red squares. But for some reason, 2 of 'em were displayed correctly :)

It also sometimes happens on my PC at home.

Ok, your works PC (or the server) probably has security restrictions preventing images form loading on webpages. This is the paranoid dinosaur method of keeping you from viewing things you shouldn't while your at work.

On your home PC, it can sometimes happen..... I suppose it would depend how often it happens.
