hi
my laptop is acting up , my mouse arrow now has squares at the side of it.
when the xp screenloads, the screen is full of squares, has the graphics card gone or on the way out.
i have written this email on the laptop, as it isworking but has this problem.
can you replace the graphics card, if faulty and how easy is it to do.
or can i right the laptop off and need to buy an other.
any info on dismantling the laptop to take a look
any help would be welcomed.

Sounds to me like the graphics is requesting too much memory. Try reducing the screen resolution and colour depth.Try saying "I have under-a-pound in my wallet" and listen to people react!0

hi,
tried reducing resolution etc still no change0 -
The only other thing I can suggest is to maybe reinstall the driver. Other than that, I'm afraid I am out of ideas.Try saying "I have under-a-pound in my wallet" and listen to people react!0

Yeah, driver update... Give it a go, download them for the manufacturers website, but be aware the download might not install the drivers, rather place them in a folder for you to go in and start the installation (normally setup.exe).
I have to say though, it sounds like a heat damaged GPU
